　　Throughout the past 30-plus years of continuous exploration for reform and opening up, we have gained many great accomplishments in energy construction. However, in terms of both the quality of energyproduction and its efficiency level, comprehensive energy efficiency in China is less than 40%, which is 15-20% lower than that in developed countries. With regard to the problems concerning poor energy efficiency, the author proposes three suggestions for improving energy efficiency with his many years of practical experience: (1) to strengthen the terminal management of the stock of assets; (2) to improve the level forenergy utilities with the promotion of energy internet; (3) to study the optimization and layout of large-scale energy system using system theory and to upgrade and transform the energy systems and energy-consuming sectors.
