From July 1 to July 3, 2018, the 9th International Conference on Green Intelligent Transportation System and Safety (GITSS2018) was held in Guilin, Guangxi Province. The conference was initiated by Beijing Institute of Technology and Technical University of Munich, co-sponsored by Beijing Institute of Technology and Guilin University of Electronic Technology. The meeting was strongly supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the State Administration of Foreign Experts. More than 240 scholars and experts from China, Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, the United States, Belgium, New Zealand and other countries and regions participated in the meeting. The conference focused on traffic hotspots such as green transportation, intelligent transportation, and traffic safety. The issue has been extensively and intensively exchanged and discussed.

The conference provided a valuable platform for experts and scholars in the field of transportation to discuss theoretical research results, advanced technologies, existing problems and solutions in the field of green intelligent transportation systems and traffic safety.
