　　"Seeking truth from facts, not being self-righteous" is the thought of the old president, Xu Teli. On April 1, 1942, when Xu Teli was the president of the Academy of natural science, the predecessor of our school, he organized a 9-month discussion on the educational policy, and published an article how to learn again in Liberation Daily, proposing the idea of "seeking truth from facts" instead of "being self-righteous". In October 1949, Xu Teli wrote "seeking truth from facts, not being self-righteous" for the founding issue of Hebei Education, and explained that this is the most important in academic discipline.
