Global Talent Recruiting Program

 The Institute of International Disputes Prevention and Settlement, Beijing Institute of Technology (IIDPS) is a research and teaching institution jointly established by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT). The Institute is committed to serving the “Belt and Road Initiative”, providing think-tank support for national and international organizations in the field of prevention and settlement of commercial disputes, risk control and dispute resolution schemes for relevant industries, and cultivating high-level talents for countries along the Belt and Road route.

  The Institute will be affiliated to the School of Law of the Beijing Institute of Technology. The Institute provides bachelor’s degree programs, as well as master’s and Ph.D. degree programs in law. In order to promote the overall development of the Institute, the university is now recruiting the Dean of the Institute and other outstanding talents and young scholars globally:

I. Dean of the Institute: 1

Qualifications:
1. The candidate shall be Professor of law from an internationally renowned law school or senior expert of relevant international organizations with high academic reputation in the field.
2. In principle, the candidate shall have 2 or more years of work or study experience in a reputable overseas university, academic institution, or legal practice department.
3. In principle, the age of the candidate shall be less than 50 and be able to work full time at the Institute.

Benefits:

1. The candidate will be appointed as a PhD supervisor, and provided with the priority to enroll both doctoral and master’s students specifically. The dean will be able to recruit two postdoctoral researchers each year.
2. The salary for the dean is negotiable and there will be a built-in incremental scale of salary increase.
3. The university shall provide housing and accommodation conditions for the selected outstanding candidate, subject to the evaluation and approval of the university according to the housing conditions provided by the university under the talent plan at similar level.


II. Researchers: 2

Qualifications:
1. The candidate shall be Professor of law from a reputable university in China or abroad, preferably with 2 or more years of work or study experience in a reputable overseas university, academic institution or legal practice department.
2. In principle, the age of the candidate shall be less than 50 and shall be able to work full time at the Institute.

Benefits:
1. The candidate will be appointed as a PhD supervisor, and provided with the priority to enroll both doctoral and master’s students specifically.
2. The salary during the term of employment shall be decided according to the salary package plan of the university (including basic salary + performance salary + annual performance reward).

III. Assistant researcher: 3

Qualifications:
1. The candidate shall graduate from a reputable law school in China or abroad, preferably with postdoctoral research experience.
2. The candidate shall have an excellent academic background, and strong academic innovation ability and potential. He or she shall have a certain academic reputation and outstanding academic achievements in a relevant research field.
3. In principle, the candidate’s age shall be less than 35 and shall be able to work full time at the Institute.

Benefits:
1. The candidate will be appointed as a lecturer.
2. The salary during the term of employment shall be decided according to the salary standard of the university for lecturers (including basic salary + performance salary + annual performance reward).
3. The university shall help the candidate with his/her children's education, such as their entrance into a nursery or primary school, etc.



IV. Postdoctoral Researchers: SEVERAL

Qualifications:
1. The candidates shall be recent Ph.D. graduates from high-level universities or research institutions in China or abroad, and shall receive their doctoral degree within the previous three years.
2. The candidates shall have a good academic background, strong academic innovation capability and potential, and the ability to carry out research work independently.
3. In principle, the age of the candidate shall be less than 35.

Benefits:
1. The annual salary is 180,000 RMB — 250,000 RMB in total.
2. The university shall help the candidate with his/her children's education, such as their entrance into a nursery or primary school, etc. The candidate shall enjoy the same benefits as other faculty staff according to relevant university regulations.
