On September 21, 2022, the Rutgers Formula Driverless Team from Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) won the national championship again in the 2022 Formula Student China Competition!

This is the fifth time that the BIT driverless formula team has won the national championship after the 2017, 2018, 2020, and 2021 seasons, and it is also the first time that a national university has achieved three consecutive championships in this event, setting a historical record!

This year's competition was held in Hefei, Anhui, China, with more than 100 teams and 2,600 student team members from all over China, making it the largest and highest level of unmanned car competition for college students in China.

During the preparation process, the team members have broken through the key technologies such as modular full-line control chassis and dynamics control, virtual prototype full-stack simulation of the unmanned system, etc., and won first place in the static single event with 107.05 points for car design and 169.91 points for unmanned system design, creating the best result in the history of the team.

The team members managed the whole competition in a closed-loop manner and won the national championship for the fifth time, which fully demonstrated the spirit of Beihang students who dare to work hard and pursue excellence.
