Harong, 34 years old, is from Pakistan. After coming to China for school, he stayed in China for work. This year is his 11th year in China. After graduation, he became a new product introduction test engineer for Lenovo's global supply chain. In these 11 years in China, Harong has a son, and currently the family of three lives in Wuhan. "Wuhan is my second home, and I love it." Harong told the reporter.

　　Harong recalled to the reporter that on February 1st, he saw an article on the Internet that "Pakistan proposed to dispatch battlefield hospitals and doctors to support Wuhan." He also learned that Pakistan donated 300,000 medical masks and protective equipment. He was very excited because this was news from his hometown. He immediately thought that he should also act and do something for Wuhan, his second hometown.

　　Harong quickly sent a screenshot of this news to his colleagues from Lenovo, expressing his hope to sign up for volunteer work.

　　With the help of his colleagues, Harong found a channel for registration. After training, he became a volunteer and joined a local public welfare organization in Wuhan to start participating in some public welfare activities. Harong has worked in a multinational company for many years and is fluent in both Chinese and English. At the same time, his native language is Urdu. He can be regarded as the "Global Ambassador" among local volunteers in Wuhan. Thanks to the convenience of language, Harong was also arranged to contact some overseas donations to Hubei and Wuhan.

Joint more than 100 WeChat groups and often worked from 8 am to the next morning

　　"When I first started volunteering, I was a little nervous. I got used to it slowly." Harong told the journalist of Zi Niu News. At the beginning, he was just an ordinary volunteer. After working for more than a week, he was familiar with the relevant links, so the volunteer team asked him to led a small team to communicate with donors and recipients. "Being a volunteer is based on my own thoughts, so when I do it, I try my best and want to be perfect." He said.

　　At the beginning, medical supplies in major hospitals in Wuhan were in short supply. Harong worked with local volunteers in Wuhan to understand which hospitals in Wuhan were lacking, then communicated with the donors one by one, and then connected one by one. For the domestic donations that his team is responsible for, Harong is involved in the whole process without hesitation.

　　When he was busy, Harong worked fourteen to fifteen hours a day, working longer than normal days. So far, he has assisted in completing a set of communication for more than 110 donations. Because some donors have a large time difference with China, Harong often has to get up early or stay up late.

　　Harong told the reporter that as a volunteer for more than a month, he joined more than 100 WeChat groups, which meant that their volunteer team had contacted more than 100 donors and recipients. "As for how many donors I have contacted, it is really impossible to calculate. The amount is relatively large, and no accurate statistics have been made." Harong said. He also made a request to himself that he couldn’t rest until the day of things were completed.

　　There are a total of 83 volunteers in the team of Harong. He is the only foreigner in the team. The only foreign volunteer also serves as the team leader and lead seven or eight college student volunteers.

Learned Chinese cooking because "Wuhan is my second home"

As volunteers, they can also breathe a sigh of relief. Harong told reporters that now he deals with only seven or eight issues a day, and shifts to his own work the rest of the time.

　　Regarding Harong's performance, the director of the local volunteer service team in Wuhan said his biggest feature is "perseverance": "Harong doesn't talk too much, but he is very positive. The most important thing is that he is particularly persevering."
