　　The Key Laboratory of Complex System Intelligent Control and Decision was approved and established in 2011.

　　This Laboratory is built on the basis of the first-level discipline of Control Science and Engineering, and its main research directions are: common problems and optimization, control and decision-making of complex system; theory and technology of navigation and guidance system under uncertain complex environment; mechanism, perception and control of bionic robot; and motion drive and control.

　　The positioning of the Laboratory: in accordance with the national long and medium-term science and technology development plans and national needs for development of economy and society, combined with its own distinctive characteristics, the land-based movement under the complex confrontation environment is the main research object, and the basic research and application research of its control, optimization and decision-making are carried out to support the deep integration of industrialization and informationization, as well as military-civilian integration.

　　The construction objectives of the Laboratory: according to the national long and medium-term science and technology development plans and national needs for development of economy and society, the international scientific and technological development frontier and national major needs, and the latest research and development front of control science and engineering, and focused on the major scientific and technological issues in the field of intelligent control and decision-making of complex systems in national defense construction and national economic construction, the leapfrogging innovation and development of the key theoretical basis and application basis in this field are promoted to make it an important base for original innovation, high-tech, excellent talent training and international academic exchanges in this field.

　　The characteristics and advantages of the Laboratory: related Academic Committee is established with Academician Sun Youxian as the Chairman, Academician Huang Lin, Academician Wu Cheng and Academician Chai Tianyou as the Vice-chairmen, Academician Guo Lei, Academician Wu Hongxin, Academician Wang Tianran, Academician Gui Weihua, Academician Wang Wei, Academician Qian Feng, Academician Wang Shunting, Professor Zhou Qihuang, Professor Zhou Donghua, Professor Guan Xinping and Researcher Hou Zengguang as the Committee Members. The total members of the research team are currently 59, including an academician of CAE, 2 experts of the Recruitment Program of Global Experts, 5 distinguished professors of the Yangtze River Scholars, 3 winners of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, 2 members of the Discipline Evaluation Group of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, 2 experts for outstanding contributions to national defense, a winner of Guanghua Engineering Science and Technology Award, 2 talents of New Century Talents Project, 2 talents of Ten-Thousand Leading Talents in Science and Technology Innovation, a young scholar of the Yangtze River Scholars of the Ministry of Education, 2 winners of Outstanding Youth Science Foundation, 11 talents of Supported by Program for New Century Excellent Talents in University of the Ministry of Education, 4 talents of “511” Talent Projects of the Technology and Industry for National Defense, a young and middle-aged leading talent in science and technology innovation of the Ministry of Science and Technology, 2 top young talents of the Central Organization Department, and 2 outstanding talents in Beijing. Moreover, there is also an innovation research group of NSFC, 2 innovation teams of Yangtze River scholars of the Ministry of Education, 2 innovation teams of Technology and Industry for National Defense, and a “Special Mobile Platform Design and Manufacturing Science and Technology Innovation and Intelligence Introduction Base” of the National “111” Intelligence Introduction Plan for World-class Disciplines. Besides, there are 30 Professors/Doctoral Supervisor, 20 Associate Professors, 2 Senior Experimenters, 5 Lecturers and 2 Experimenters. 85% of the teachers and professors have the experience of studying abroad, which has formed an academic team with reasonable age and knowledge structure, active academic thinking and great influence at home and abroad.
