Key Laboratory of Autonomous Navigation and Control for Deep Space Exploration of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology

　　The Key Laboratory of Autonomous Navigation and Control for Deep Space Exploration of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, was approved and established in 2015, which is the first batch of key laboratories of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, a nation important base for scientific research, personnel training and academic exchange in the field of deep space exploration, the affiliated unit of Deep Space Exploration Technical Committee of Chinese Society of Astronautics, and has launched Journal Of Deep Space Exploration .

　　This Laboratory is built on the basis of the first-level disciplines of Aerospace Science and technology, Mechanics, Control Science and Engineering and Computer Science and technology, and its main research directions are: autonomous navigation and guidance in deep space; deep space dynamics and control; and design and simulation of deep space orbit.

　　With the goal of meeting the major needs of national deep space exploration, and aiming at pursuing the international academic frontier and dealing with major scientific issues in the field of deep space exploration, the Laboratory is determined to conduct researches on new theories, methods and technologies of autonomous management, autonomous navigation, guidance and control, and orbit design for deep space exploration so as to contribute to the major national deep space exploration projects and carry out international exchanges and cooperation.

　　With a professional academic team consisting of academicians of CAS, members of National Key Basic Research Development Plan, Yangtze River Scholars, winners of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, Yangtze River Youth Scholars, winners of Outstanding Youth Science Foundation, talents of Supported by Program for New Century Excellent Talents in University of the Ministry of Education, and youth talent of Talents Promotion Project of China Association for Science and Technology, the Laboratory has undertaken projects of “973 Plan” (National Key Basic Research Development Plan), “863 Program” (National High-tech R&D Program), NSFC, basic scientific research, and civil aerospace. In addition, it has carried out basic, innovative and forward-looking research work in the fields of autonomous Navigation and control of deep space exploration, dynamics and structure, design and simulation of orbit, and autonomous landing and control, and has won a second prize of State Technological Invention Award, 2 second prizes of National Scientific and Technological Progress Award, and 4 first prizes of National Defense Science and Technology Progress Award, which has become an influential deep space autonomous navigation and control research base, a talent training base and an academic exchange center at home and abroad.
