【Lecture Information】

This keynote talk will discuss the role and impact of the transformational power of ICT (Information and Communication Technology) for making our world more sustainable: saving energy and material resources by creating more value from less physical input, increasing quality of life forever without compromising future generations’ ability to meet their needs. Through our research projects on sustainable ICT achieved in the past years in collaboration with world-class players, we will review the technical evolution of sustainable ICT solutions from micro to macro levels, from 4G to 5G, and from Telco cloud to the cyber-physical space. The talk will also highlight key actions towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) defined by the United Nations General Assembly with a critical importance for the humanity and the planet.
