On the afternoon of September 4th, the school held a postgraduate education work meeting for the fall of 2019-2020. Vice President Wang Xiaofeng, Executive Vice President of the Graduate School Wang Junzheng, Vice President Xiao Wenying, Vice President Huang Hua, the deputy dean of the postgraduate teaching work and the teachers responsible for graduate work attended the meeting. Huang Hua introduced the main work of postgraduate training in the second half of the year. The main tasks include optimizing the postgraduate training process management mechanism, strengthening the postgraduate training process management, doing a good job in the evaluation of the excellent seedlings fund and scholarships, accelerating the construction of postgraduate quality courses and video open classes, and continuously improving the internationalization of postgraduates and the level of scientific and technological innovation.

Xiao Wenying introduced the main contents of the work of the degree and department in the second half of the year. The main contents include the establishment of a feedback mechanism for the mentor of Lide Shuren, the training of new instructors, the establishment of a refined management platform for instructors, the implementation of the “three-level six-node” dissertation quality assurance system, and the strengthening of the National Academic Outstanding Dissertation.

Wang Junzheng introduced the main tasks of postgraduate enrollment in the second half of the year. The main tasks include receiving master's exemption students, direct students, master's and doctoral enrollment guides and professional catalogue development, master's enrollment exam propositions, recruitment work, etc. He also emphasizes that all colleges and training units should attach great importance to the self-proposition work of the master's admission examination, and strengthen the quality awareness, safety awareness and confidentiality awareness of relevant personnel. Later, Wang Junzheng deployed the key work of the graduate school in the second half of the year as following. The first is to strengthen the refined classification management and assessment of the tutor around the basic tasks of the instructor to enhance morality and foster talents of the students. The second is to promote the implementation of the “Humping Pilot” top-notch innovative talent training program. The third is to strengthen the construction of postgraduate courses and quality supervision, and comprehensively improve the quality of postgraduate courses. The fourth is to further strengthen graduate students' scientific and technological innovation ability training and international education projects. It is hoped that the colleges and the graduate schools will work together to formulate the work objectives of each college on the basis of the graduate school work plan, and effectively promote the steady improvement of the quality of postgraduate education.

Wang Xiaofeng made a concluding speech. He pointed out that the construction of "double-first-class" needs to accumulate over time. As a core task, it is very important to improve the quality of postgraduate education and to cultivate top-notch innovative talents. During the critical period of postgraduate education in our school, everyone should continue to study the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's series of speeches. In accordance with the deployment of the school's mid-year work conference, we will implement various measures for postgraduate training and continuously improve the quality of personnel training as following. First, to do a good job in postgraduate enrollment, ensure that the Master's enrollment exam is safe and smooth, and continuously improve the quality of students. Second, to strengthen the construction of the mentor team, do a good job of mentor training, mentor evaluation and mentor management. Third, to accelerate the construction of courses, improve the quality of course teaching, and strengthen the quality supervision of postgraduate training. Fourth, to improve political positions and attach great importance to campus security and stability. It is hoped that the graduate schools and colleges will actively implement the school work deployment, ensure that the policies are implemented and the results are obvious, and continuously improve the quality of postgraduate training in our university.
