On October 13, 2019, the National Academic Forum on the ArmamentScience and Technology was held in Beijing Institute of Technology. The forum was sponsored by China Ordnance Society and BIT, and organized by Graduate School of BIT and School of Mechatronics Engineering. Wang Xiaofeng, vice president of Beijing Institute of Technology, and Qu Yanbing, deputy secretary of the China Ordnance Society, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. The responsible persons of the Graduate School of Beijing Institute of Technology, the Science and Technology Research Institute, the Planning and Finance Department, the School of Astronautics, the School of Materials and the School of Mechatronics Engineering attended the opening ceremony. And more than 100 experts and scholars from Nanjing University of Science and Technology, North University of China, Xi’an Technological University and China Academy Of Engineering Physics are also invited.

QuYanbing affirmed the significance of the doctoral academic forum in his speech.He said that the doctoral academic forum is an important platform for the mutual learning between graduate students and young researchers. Young scholars are also encouraged to have mutual learning, mutual promotion and jointly improvementin the collision and sharing of new academic ideas and new achievements.

In Wang Xiaofeng’sspeech,he expressed his congratulations on the holding of the doctoral academic forum. The National Academic Forum on the Armament Science and Technology has been held for consecutive years since 2016. It has become an important academic activity for the communication of doctoral students in the field of armament.He hopes that the doctoral academic forum could fully stimulate the enthusiasm of doctoral students to explore and innovate, and play a role in the creation of a good academic atmosphere in the armament discipline, and actively promote the development of armament science and technology disciplines.

Researcher Liu Peizhi from the Institute of Computer Application Technology of China Ordnance Industry, Prof. Zhang Xianfeng from Nanjing University of Science and Technology, Researcher Wang Haibin from the 212th Institute of Ordnance Industry Group and Associate Professor Li Zhimin from Beijing Institute of Technology have made speeches entitledThe Development of UAV System in the Age of 'intelligent+'investigation,Long Rod Projectile Impact on Silicon Carbide Ceramic Interface Failure/Resident Experiment and Numerical Simulation Study,Research on the Bad Complex Environment Adaptability of Radio FuzeandMetal Coordinated Self-igniting Ionic Liquidrespectively.

In the group report, the wonderful presentation and the intense discussion and communication brought the collision of knowledge and thought, and also inspired participants to conduct more experiments. Judging from the discussion of guest committee, the academic papers of 21 doctoral students were rated as excellent papers by the doctoral academic forum.

At the closing ceremony, Liu Yan, deputy dean of the School of Mechatronics Engineering, expressed his gratitude to the sister universities and research institutes for their strong support and the active participation of their students. He hoped that the scale and influence of the academic forum on armament science and technology would be gradually enlarged, thus it could provide students a bigger and better communication platform.
