Jinggong Academy, with the academy motto of “careful thinking, solid foundation, skilled engineering and great ambition” and the academy style of “diligent in study, zeal in practice, precise in decision and philosophical in life”, is devoted to create a brilliant management and cultivation system of “first-class (to be a first-class academy), three-dimensional (strengthening general education, consolidating the foundation of large category education and promoting the relation of majors), five capabilities (ideal and belief, professionalism, innovation, collaboration and social care)”. The first and the current President of the Academy is Prof. Sun Fengchun, Academician of CAE.
The students enrolled by Jinggong Academy belong to the large category of “Aerospace and Mechatronics” and “Intelligent Manufacturing and Vehicle Experiment Class”, which correspond to the cultivation for School of Aerospace and Engineering, School of Mechatronical Engineering and School of Mechanical Engineering. It includes the majors of Aircraft Design and Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Aircraft Power Engineering, Weapon Launch Engineering, Weapon Systems and Engineering, Ammunition Engineering and Explosion Technology, Special Energy Technology and Engineering, Safety Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Detection Guidance and Control Technology (aerospace/mechatronical), Engineering Mechanics (aerospace/mechatronical), Vehicle Engineering, Armored Vehicle Engineering, Energy and Power Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Intelligent Manufacturing Engineering. In addition, there are also Mechatronic Engineering Class (English teaching), Mechanical Engineering Class (English teaching) and Intelligent Mechatronical System Experimental Class.
