Ming De Academy, with the academy motto of “virtue makes beauty, and practice makes improvement” and the educational goal of “being erudite and well-behaved, and having both ability and political integrity”, aims to bring the Chinese excellent traditional culture into education, management and life. Besides, the Academy is devoted to cultivate talents based on the “Six Arts”: “rituals” refer to “politician”, “music” refers to “philanthropist”, “archery” refers to “entrepreneur”, “writing” refers to “diplomat”, and “arithmetic” refers to “scientist”. Moreover, the five lights of “lectures, salons, reading and writing, research and speculation, and practice and innovation” will offer a guiding hand for the students to become future talents. The first and the current President of the Academy is Prof. Zeng Yuexing.
The students enrolled by Ming De Academy belong to the large category of “Social Science Experimental Class”, which correspond to the cultivation for School of Humanities and Social Science, School of Laws and School of Foreign Languages. It includes the majors of Economics, Social Work, Science of Law, English, Japanese, German and Spanish.
